For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Psalm 19:1-14 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
I need to remember to stop the business of my heart and mind every once and a while- to enter a full surrender that yields to God and rests in His peace. Maybe this is like a calling that asks me to come to a full stop before walking further. There seems to be a rhythm to life. Sometimes we need to replenish and rest, to refill ourselves before going on. And the filling needs to be of The Spirit of The Lord. Please take a moment with me and enjoy this wonderful music that I found. It is a well-known song from Hillside (2012), called “Surrender”. It inspired me as I listened and my heart felt renewed. It is a beautiful worship. I hope that it gives you moments of peace and heart refreshment! L.W.
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. Psalm 130:5
Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders. Job 37:14
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Psalm 62:5
