“Heart of Peace”, a poem from L.Willows (God’s Peace, Loving God, Holy Joy)

Oh Soul, you surge, you arch in above
with a gentle passion’s reach to Love.

For Heavens’ quest is nearer than
the length of love in the Heart of Man.

Find me turning, lead me Out
The Glory called my name – Devout.

I hear the thunder of Joys’ rain,
Clouds part with wonder – Light to gain.

Oh Soul, do let the every part,
come forward, bow, and then depart.

Naked stillness forms the glove
of Godly Peace, surrendered to Love.

John 14:27 —“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Deuteronomy 5:6 —“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”

“Of the Bird, of the Bird”, a worship poem from L.Willows (Loved, His Spirit, Trust)

Of the bird, of the bird
that is pressed to flight.
Please wait, look back
Oh, see me tonight.

Know all, know all
Remember the light.
Capture our dreams
and the heart that holds might.

Take with you the sunshine.
Take with you the dreams.
Take all of the joy
that measures life’s seams.

This to the heavens.
This to the skies.
All for forever.
Bird, fly, fly, fly.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Psalm 19:1-14
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.

“Heart Refresh”, enter peace and surrender with Music from Hillside

ValleyGreen1220637_960_720
I need to remember to stop the business of my heart and mind every once and a while- to enter a full surrender that yields to God and rests in His peace. Maybe this is like a calling that asks me to come to a full stop before walking further. There seems to be a rhythm to life. Sometimes we need to replenish and rest, to refill ourselves before going on. And the filling needs to be of The Spirit of The Lord. Please take a moment with me and enjoy this wonderful music that I found. It is a well-known song from Hillside (2012), called “Surrender”. It inspired me as I listened and my heart felt renewed. It is a beautiful worship. I hope that it gives you moments of peace and heart refreshment! L.W.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. Psalm 130:5

Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders. Job 37:14

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Psalm 62:5
