“The Nests of Red Barn”, a worship poem by Linda Willows

from L.Willows- I remember peaceful times, hearts filled with dreams; hopes and promises of tomorrow. There is still a peace that reigns beyond all circumstance. We can live in the fullness of God’s Grace. His promises are eternal. All seasons of our lives and of the world that we live in belong to Him. I trust God who loves and reaches to each of us with care and comfort.- June 2020

The Nests of Red Barn (L.Willows 2016)

Winter’s green fields come round full of grace.
Valleys run deep to catch the sun’s lace.
Hills and mountains run full yonder cast
a lavender grey mist woes deep from the vast.

Nearby farmhouse stand upright, straight and red
held generations are warm, bred and well-fed.
And as the horses, goats, cows all graze in the fields,
it seems that they know of a treasure there sealed.

Peace lies in the whispers and the hallows of red Barn;
In the huddle of chickens and cat nesting in hay yarn.
Here is the core of all life on the farm,
All rest on the eve of a home next to each,
each creature sweet nested, with Farmer in reach.

“Godly Dare”, a poem by Linda Willows (Know God, Trust God, Love Forward)

Godly Dare, by L.Willows (2012)

With heart in tow, I advance upon dare
The life that I have, is paved with deep care.
I must not want nor lose myself there…
Even my breath could be lost somewhere.

Spinning upon a few stones in the path,
I steady, and feel the
lonesome of wrath.
Dizzying memories
bring heartbeat
to fast
Before
the earth
seizes,
my soul
in firm grasp.

Horizons each new
and painted deep blue-
They beckon my passion
to deeply know You.

I hasten
to leave any hindrance undue.
Godly Sights, sacred dare,
Oh, Keep me with you.

“Joy at Love’s Pour”…..a poem by Linda Willows

My Lord you bid my heart to cry…
You sway my soul with a lifted sigh.
Closer than from a stilled Lit Throne,
All beckons; becomes and brings me home.

Joy reaped from the years that time did find;
Grace forwarded all mined true, as Thine.
Lord, find me praying, singing out at the door.
This pilgrim dissolves into joy at Love’s Pour.

My Lord you bid my heart to cry…
You sway my soul with a lifted sigh!
Take my hand, my life; brace all in your Own
and lead me into Your Kingdom known.
