“I Breathe Because”, a worship poem from L.Willows (Revival, Joy, God’s Glory, Holy Yes)

I Breathe Because

I breathe because,
the morning opens before me in splendor
and I am filled with Air
that praises you God Our Father.

Here, the path that I walk upon
bathed in the warmth of the sun rising,
kissed by the breezes of the dawn,
held in the aroma of misted leaves bending,
filled with love rising that calls out Your Name.

The sky opens wide and dips to greet the day.
I cast my heart before you…
Here is the path that I walk upon,
covered with sweet-smelling flowers bearing dew that shines.
Here, in stories filled with mysteries in time,
Here in the midst of tall reaching tree cathedrals
Air comes seeking. Love is teaching.

I breathe because,
the Life you give is new, asking and inviting.
Is there a moment when we step into Air?
Is there a place that we find where to dare?
Here is the path that I walk upon
bathed in the warmth of all that is true
filling each moment with breath – life anew.
This is my Yes Lord; this is my homage to You.

2 Corinthians 1:20 — “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.”

Psalm 30:4-6 —“Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. For his anger is but for a moment and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 —“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

“Running Love’s Joy”, a poem from L.Willows (Believe, God’s Glory, Hope)

Real joy sometimes weeps like waters that fall,
mountains streams seeking homes of new blue
rushing toward freedom that holds it’s true keep,
running love towards the source of joy’s reap.

Real joy sometimes lingers like the afternoon sun
wise and patient, slow, in love’s glow.
It sees golden glory through all the clouds,
it tells of God’s Story, the enduring enshroud.

Real joy sometimes races like a child in games glee
wandering, wondering, filled with such hope.
There we see everyone’s longing to be
in the arms of forever, with Tomorrow’s jubilee.

Real joy sometimes keeps its sweetness in the wind,
embracing, effacing, displaying designs-
gusting glad motion; lifting ravine divines.
A gift for us, dancing, Love running through time.
