“A Raindrop’s Thirst”, a worship poem from L.Willows

burstBB

Oh, Raindrop – burst,
your mercy fills thirst.
You are love falling
the sweetness of mirth.

Come heaven, tilled
to us, to earth.
Reap in our hearts
renewal; life’s first.

A raindrop’s thirst
for us in God’s tend.
A pouring that prays
in the midst of Love’s mend.

Isaiah 44:3
For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

John 4:10
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Romans 5:3-6
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
