“From a Vast Honeycomb”, a worship poem from L.Willows (Called by God, the Promise)

FROM A VAST HONEYCOMB BY L.WILLOWS

Here from behind, here from between,
We – some, in the midst, bear burdened heart dreams.

Long ago calls echo, they imprint, they rebound,
Like the years shedding, to find a new sound.
Some, like lost rising from a vast honeycomb,
Surge as from Ocean, like a wave coming Home.

Who leads the way and bears all at the fore,
Keeps hearts in the midst of the cries at the Door.
Hearing the calls, wearing the fray
that swells in tide’s mist, at the promise of Day.

Here from behind, here from between,
We in your midst, bear the dream of Love seen.
Some, like lost rising from a vast honeycomb,
Surge as from Ocean, like a wave coming Home.

Long ago calls echo, they imprint, they rebound,
Like the years shedding, to find a new sound.

In each of our lives, there are heart callings, needs, trials. We are beckoned to boldly lift our vision above and beyond what is “shedding” and loosening itself before us. Much cries out to be sacrificed. We are faced with difficult choices yet we often don’t realize that there is always a choice, that nothing ever stays the same. We discover the ‘new sound’, God’s mighty call – that compels us to step into something that is different than before. We are constantly reborn to deepening expanses of love and awakening to God if we walk with courage. The Psalms speak of God’s nearness to us from the beginning. His promises are true. He goes before us each. When we reach out, there is a mighty arm reaching for us.

Psalm 75:1
We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks, for Your name is near. The people declare Your wondrous works.

Psalm 145:18
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.

Lamentations 3:57
You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not be afraid.”

Love’s Grace Extolled

Love finds me falling into its grace deep,
a winsome warm wave of sweet callings keep.
Oh follow this near, I could not part far,
from this Heart of calling, a winsome wave’s reap,
here in God’s Love- not by distance nor star.

Find me in the shining of far light above.
It hovers, yet reaches, it come near to love.
Like the twilight that arises as sister to the moon,
Love comes near to touch- I fall into a swoon.

Love finds me falling through a celestial scroll,
tendered with prayers that invoke Gods’ extol.
Turning my Face to the beauty of Thee.
I am washed, filled within, with the soul of devotee.

“Deep in God’s Mercy”…a worship poem from LWillows

DeepinGodsMercyWillows

See my heart’s fear, Lord,
then come, do be Near.
Let all that resides in
each tear reappear.

Inside of your deepest
Grace and heart’s rest,
how such a love’s comfort
sweeps in this prayer, blessed.

See all in your view, Lord,
then come, do be Near.
Let all that resides
in my all reappear.

Take me to your throne
That I may bow low,
Deep in God’s Mercy
with fear in Love’s tow.
