“Pray into Hope, Delight the Heart’s Trust in God”, from L.Willows (Hope, Trust in God, Encouragement)

As we look to God’s Word, we see that we have every reason to Hope; to place all Promise of Trust in Him who gives encouragement to our hearts. We lean in lovingly to the One that will never forsake us.

We trust in God, who is always with us.

Micah 7:7 -“But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.”

Isaiah 40:31 -“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Lamentations 3:24 -“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

1 Peter 1:3 -“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Psalm 42:11-“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

and we are Encouraged to Trust from such Promises of Hope-

When we commit our ways to the Lord and trust in Him, The Lord’s will is fulfilled- His wonders are there for us to behold.

As it says in Psalm 37, “He will bring forth righteousness (His Son, Jesus Christ) and justice (His Wisdom, Word) as the noonday- (the fullness of Light, divine justice).

Psalm 37:5 -“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”

Psalm 9:10 -“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”

Psalm 37:4-6 -“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”

Isaiah 41:10 -“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Pray into Hope. Delight the Heart’s Trust in God.

“Led Forward by Love”, from L.Willows (waiting for the Lord, encouragement)

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Led Forward by Love (Waiting for The Lord), from L.Willows

Belief is a wondrous act of our hearts and minds. It can lead us forward; give us hope, it can even reveal what we long for most deeply. When we search with the eyes of our soul and look upward to the One that calls us to Himself we see God. We are led forward by Love. I trust that. We all can. It is a promise to us.

In Greek, the root word from which we get ‘faith, the noun is PISTIS, and ‘BELIEVE, the verb is PISTUEO. FAITH – PISTIS means faith, belief, firm persuasion, assurance, firm conviction, faithfulness. BELIEVE – PISTUEO – to trust in and rely upon, commit to the charge of, confide in, have a mental persuasion.

We place our trust in what we wait upon.

When we wait for the Lord in this way, we are employing our belief in God with complete trust. Waiting compels us to learn to trust God. Trusting and relying completely upon God is the opposite of depending on the assurances of ‘this world’. It is putting full confidence in the Presence of God.
We sometimes revert back to a belief in our aloneness. Disappointments, sometimes the mere witness of world events can be enough to wonder if God is present. But we are never alone.
God is always with us.

We soar when we wait on The Lord.

Waiting on the Lord can mean many things. In this passage, it can mean to put our hope in the Lord. Sometimes it means to cast our weighty burdens upon the Lord who promises to answer when we call.
“Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.” Isaiah 64:24

We can go to God for Hope. He promises to LIFT us up.

We can become weary in life but we can always go to God. He never fails us. He will receive our burdens. He will lift us up. God sees our hearts all the time. When our hearts are seen and known by Love, we respond in Love as Beloveds. Our cares are lifted into His own Heart as we are.
The wondrous part about trusting God is that His answers do not fail us. Our lives are lifted into His faithful Shepherding. The walk shifts. We are not alone. We never were. Serving the Lord means putting Him first, at the forefront. We follow Love.

The Lord Leads Us Forward

He becomes the Shepherd of our lives. He leads us into Green Pastures. He restores our Souls. When we see Him and are led forward by Love, are hearts lift, we know true joy and our hearts are filled with a longing to share what has been given.
We serve the Hope, which is His Presence. When we wait upon the Lord, our hearts soar. Our lives are lifted. We are led forward by Love.

“The Way of Valor and Love”, Scripture and Prayer from L.Willows (honor God, fasten to His will)

Saul also went to his home at Gibeah, and with him went men of valor whose hearts God had touched. (1 Samuel 10:26)

It is said that a God-touched heart is one that is sympathetic to Him, one that is steadfast, leans towards Him and enjoys His comforting. A God-touched heart is sustained by God, is molded by His will, sincere and able to endure!

The Greek word for touch is Haptomai. It means to fasten one’s self to, adhere to, cling to. When God touches our heart with His Love, it causes us to fasten ourselves to Him with greater love and purpose.

God touches our heart for a purpose. He is calling us toward Himself. When we are called in this holy way, the Light of His Spirit touches our heart and illumines what He wishes us to see in new ways. Some call this ‘conviction’. We need to look more truthfully at something that is in front of us in our lives.

God is holding his mirror up before us and showing a new picture with a perspective that was formerly unknown to us. Sometimes this feels shocking, almost electric! And it is because we are seeing with ‘new eyes’.

Our hearts, touched by God have been renewed by His touch. It is taught in scripture that we have eyes in our heart to “see” from. In such times of deep connection, we not only see with greater acuity but are also encouraged (given courage and strengthened by God) to move forward and fulfill His purpose.  Each of us has callings and purpose that move us into deeper and deeper degrees of our sanctification. This is our walk with God, the way of valor and love.

This is the beginning of true valor, it a heart touched by God that is able to fulfill His will. It is one that is compelled to action that has a purpose imbued by God. It is a life that praises God with heart, mind and being.

Prayer for Valor and Love

Today I look to you with a heart asking to know you more fully.
I praise the majesty of your approach.
All of me is silent as I wait for you.

I let myself be washed ashore like a youth, my mortal will in surrender.
Let everything that was, be the past and may all become new again!
Make my heart in You. Touch me with your Love, your will, your purpose.

Only you, Lord can fasten me to your will and to your love,
Towards the All of YOU. Take me In and love my all.
Fill me with your Peace. Fill me with Love’s Call.

Before You, I commit my heart towards your love and purpose.
Praising You. I thank you for filling my heart with your Comfort.
Raising all before You Lord, I thank you for filling me with Your Peace
and lifting the eyes of my heart to the steadiness of your Love.

In Jesus Name,
