“Take Us To Your Church”, a worship poem from L.Willows (A Holy Temple, Christ Jesus, Belonging to God)

Take Us to Your Church

Take us to Your Church this morning, this day.
Take all of our hearts in a chorus that prays,
singing together in praises that say-
We belong to You forever and cannot stay away.

In this Gathering-Home, Your own place alone,
we rest with you Jesus – from all of life’s roam.
Hushed in the midst of Your Spirit’s delight,
calmed in the Love of Your Kingdom’s invite.

Take us to Your Church in the promise of Life.
Sanctify us as we gather through strife.
Bless every heart that enters Your Door,
that thirsts and receives the Lord’s Holy pour.

Psalm 100:3 —Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Ephesians 2:19-22 —So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

John 10:9-10 -I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
