Our pastor (Pastor Tom Holliday) said that “God speaks to us in a lullaby” meaning that He draws near to us with such abounding grace, forgiveness, and generous love that we almost can’t fathom it with our mortal hearts. After a tender sermon on John 3:16-21, my heart felt full. I feel the reach of God’s Love. We can be encouraged by responding to the hope that comes from Our Lord Jesus Christ. (August 08.2019)
God’s Lullaby
The lullaby comes near to us
softly, sweetly in life’s hush.
like a river running in dance at dawn
with waters new, filled with God’s song.
Times can burden, and trials restrict.
Wandering through the haze conflicts.
Yet here in the midst of all from above-
in the miracle of – God’s Love, God’s Love.
The Lullaby, from the deep, intones,
it whispers, “Here. Here is home.”
We wrap our hearts around, around,
called by God’s song; our worlds rebound.
Lulled by His Love in sweeping dive-
we hope and live in sweetened revive.
Filled by His song we run in Grace deep
in rivers dancing in the dawn of love’s keep.

John 3:16-21 —“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Isaiah 12:2 —“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Zephaniah 3:17 —“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Love God’s lullaby, Linda.
