“God’s Love Runs in Goodness”, a worship poem from L.Willows (Blessing, God’s Goodness, a New Day)

GOD’S LOVE RUNS IN GOODNESS

Oh, heart, don’t look back,
step forward, come along…
All that is lost, will gain again strong.
God’s love runs in Goodness
for Grace wins Love’s Song.

Oh, heart, don’t mourn,
you must not be drawn.
The times, they are swift-
seasons pass, they conform,

We are held in His midst
like a wild summer storm.
Oh, heart, don’t look back,
The east comes with new dawn.

Bringing gifts of life’s future
with Blessing fully drawn.
See the brightness that beckons,
hear the mercy calls ring.
At the Gates of our Lord,
in announce of The King.

There in the East,
in the clearing that Lights
Angel wings are drawn
into heavenly sights.
Misting, then granting
the dew that brings Day.
Hushed, in the dawn
by the Holy, who pray.

Oh, heart, don’t look back,
step forward, come along.
All that is lost will gain again strong.
God’s love runs to Goodness
for Grace wins Love’s Song.

  1. I really enjoyed this poem. It reminded me of God’s goodness on a Sunday evening when I was feeling downcast at the thought of the coming week! Thank for the encouragement.
