Lifting prayer beyond my sight
Into Heaven’s holy might.
Here I send from inside heart’s pew,
This the vow, my trust in You.
Mercy grants from moments felled,
Surrendered, lost; the storms left quelled.
Wind whispers rendered- plead for me,
left all at the foot of thy Holy Tree.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
-Romans 8:26
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
-Psalm 9:10

Mercy, love and forgiveness. Took me 40 years to find. A wonderful poem.

Mercy, love and forgiveness where beside you for all 40 years, You found it! I am so grateful that we don’t need poetry for that. Seeing you, John Coyote!
