Love, O heart, hear through the rain’s pouring.
Strike, Light; come into the call’s roaring.
Softly but surely, now in the vast
Find the child’s wanting and fill him to the last.
Oh, be the One that will Father his heart.
Sweeten and comfort, Lord, give him a start.
How sweet the blessing when life opens to,
That moment, the Pouring -of the thunder of You.
Pray, Love, be stilled by a wonder so new.
Filled by the God of Creation’s imbue.
Oh, sweet, there is so much yet to be known
Cupped in Love’s pouring, Love roaring, Love sown.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26 & 27).
“Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God, out of the fish’s belly, And said, ‘I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and He heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou hearest my voice” (Jonah 2:1-2).
