Yearning, heart learning
all forward to You.
Unknowing, unseeing,
all motions sway to.
Wearing the cares
that long for your view,
Lord, I am calling,
all-reaching
do you see my soul’s pew?
Hoping and trusting
wanting only to be,
Yours in close keeping.
Safely, home. Adoptee.
This, true assembly;
my only heart’s aim.
Lord, I am praising.
Can you touch this heart’s frame?
Make tender what rebels.
Mellow soft what formed loss.
Subdue what cries afar.
Keep me in Your Reign.
Bear near earthen star.
Wearing cares made holy,
simple and sure.
Lord, I am praising,
bowed low, made pure,
Heart, felled to You,
may Your Kingdom endure.
