When I woke I felt a lost kiss, one that vanished with first breath.
One so tender and close that it granted heart’s rest and
deemed that an eternal had caressed my soul’s nest.
In haste, I placed the treasure deep into my pillow to keep
The promise, once given must surely find way to reap.
Untouched, long ago and far from such vows
Lost kiss, where is the promise that you endowed?
My heart recalls, my soul somehow weeps.
I pray that somehow I will return
to the moment of bliss found in such mysterious sojourn.
